Linda Linda LindaLinda Blair, who was just five years old in the year she was cast, had been conditioned to be in the spotlight. At first, as a child model and later as an actor, she won the part of Regan the demonized girl from amongst 600 applicants for The Exorcist, (1973). Linda Blair rose quickly to notoriety and was awarded an award called the Golden Globe. She was expected to also win the Academy Award. But when news broke that some part of her roles were recorded as well as that a stunt-dummy performed 8 seconds in the movie, the dream ended in a shambles. In the following years, she was able secure lead part in a range of movies. This included the acclaimed television films Born Innocent and Sarah T. Sarah T. Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic in addition to Exorcist II - The Heretic. In the end, she was forced by peers into taking cocaine prior to the age of 18 years old, it resulted in being arrested and later sentenced to three years probation. Linda's work was in Hollywood was reduced to B films, and occasionally television appearances, including her infamous arrest for drug possession.
